Dresses for Haiti - first box ready!

I am so happy to tell you that my first box of dresses will be on it's way to Haiti this week. I have 19 dresses ready to go and I have found a group that will help get the dresses there. I probably have enough fabric to make at least 50 more dresses.  The ladies of Donna Downey's Inspired 2010 are truly awesome.  I have also found a quilting group that sends fabric to Haiti and the Haitian women make quilts and sell them online. I will be sending any leftover fabric to that group so nothing will be wasted.  I will be spending the next two weeks going back and forth between my DD Inspired  Page swaps that are due and getting more dresses made.
I feel very grateful that I have the ability to sew these dresses and try and help the children of Haiti smile again.
Have a great week everyone!!!

  2. Very nice. There will be little girls in Haiti feeling the care and love you have put into these. May God bless you as you continue to show your care for our neighbors.
