Family Memory Plates

I have had a blast taking old silver serving plates and turning them into memory keepers. The one above has a photo of my husband's parents but it can be swapped out for your family photo.

Below I have a photo on the plate of my grandfather in front of his childhood home in England but again your family photo would be perfect here also.  These and a couple other smaller ones I am working on will be for sale at the Greenbelt Christmas Craft Show next weekend. Come by to see them up close!

More fun for the craft show in December

With the time change I was looking forward to getting an extra hour of sleep. Not sure why but yesterday and today I have woken up around 6 with creative thoughts and couldn't go back to sleep. These are what I made this morning.

This is a christmas tin like the ones I showed yesterday. The second picture is of the inside.
Then I switched from round to rectangular. This tins are about 4 inches by 6 inches. They are about 3/4 inch deep.  Again they would be great gift containers. These will also hold gift cards.
This is the back of the tin.  Let me know what you think!

Newest projects

I am a big fan of Wendy Vecchi and Tim Holtz and I used techniques I have learned from both of them to make these treasure boxes.
Forgive my terrible photography please!  I am in the Greenbelt Holiday craft fair in December. These treasure boxes are some of the items I will have for sale. They are small - 3 inches wide by 2 inches high. Perfect for a small gift/check or cash for someone special in your life.

I am also going to have a larger rectangular size that will be able to hold gift cards. I will have handmade greeting cards, journals, notebooks and wall hangings too.

Come see me if you are in the Washington DC area. The show is Dec. 4th and 5th at the Greenbelt Community Center.
