Family Memory Plates

I have had a blast taking old silver serving plates and turning them into memory keepers. The one above has a photo of my husband's parents but it can be swapped out for your family photo.

Below I have a photo on the plate of my grandfather in front of his childhood home in England but again your family photo would be perfect here also.  These and a couple other smaller ones I am working on will be for sale at the Greenbelt Christmas Craft Show next weekend. Come by to see them up close!

  4. Hello Leslie,

I really like how you used the silver plates ! I love that you still see the silver plate and how it is "worn" on the edges.

Your collages really adds something to the silver plate, just like it has always been like this !

Combination of colors suit perfect with the silver.

I can understand why they asked you to sell some !

    greetings from belgium

  8. Lovely, lovely. Are you looking for sterling plates or will silverplate work? I also shop at Savage Mill. Where is the Greenbelt Craft Show and when? I might see if I can attend.

  10. Was replying to your question about my handbag art and decided to check out your blog. I love this idea of using the tray and would gladly allow you to use the idea as I think I may try my hand at using the tray as a basis for a collage.
Thanks for your wonderful comments and visit again!
